Recently I have had much interest in the Presidential Election. More so this year than any other election....to me this year...our votes really count. I have actually heard of people not planning on voting..due to the choices of our candidates and that disturbs me. You think your vote does not matter...but truly every vote counts and your voice should be heard.
Now I am not about to get into politics but I am going to send a message out...when you make that decision to vote..its for 4 years...it will impact your life..your children's life...and world in which we live.
Do people base their decisions on Michelle Obama's fashion? How about Sarah Palin's snappy fashionable glasses...yes..media has covered it...
All of it...as if they were celebrities! And the truth is..it really scares me...will people lose the true focus? It's the best man or woman for the job. It's not the best dressed award...It's the United States Presidential elections.
It's funny how people operate....what's appealing to them and really what helps them make the best decision for themselves.and..for their families....Last night I saw this clip..and I had to wonder...will people vote responsibly?
Disclaimer: This is not an endorsement of any candidate, just a sample of what I have witness so far. Please do everyone a favor...Vote..and Vote responsibly.

Its sad it that is how people will be voting!
You mean I have to wait 2 months to get them, better order today.
We are such followers in America, aren't we? Surely no one will vote for her due to glasses but I get your point.
I have always believed that if we not exercise our vote then we give up our right to complain about the results. Our voice is always loudest when it is combined with others at the polls.
Midori - Most Americans don't vote so I guess we have no-one to blame but ourselves. I'll respect your wishes in keeping your blog neutral, but there is a certain element that is so shallow that they might be voting based on looks or other symbols of fashion culture. Sick isn't it?
It is a sad comment on who we are when even the VP glasses are not made in America. Oh well. I do not have to say anything about this so called news worthy article
I would hope voters will take a hard look at the issues and base their vote on what they feel is best for the country.
It's like the American idol presidential race...
I think people should be much more concerned about her qualifications as possibly second in line to the presidency.
Missy-its sad because I do believe people will vote based on how the media presents these people...some will do their homework...some will vote based on various reasons such as race....and sex..and often times the media does not publish or state the true things that really matter to the American People. The truth!
Its the issues at hand that are important.
I will have to show my dad this...he has been wearing rimless glasses for years...he must have given Palin the fashion idea..
Scary world when we devote so much time to looks and not much time to issues.
All the best!
Who people can vote for, can be for all the wrong reasons........its rather bizarre how people choose, and how little it often has to do with the issues. Good reminder.
