Today was a memorable day, one that I will talk about months to come, heck in reality probably throughout my life-time. Yes some friends come and go but today I met one I hope to be blogging friends forever!
Sound silly, maybe but really isn't that what we strive for?
"Friends become referrals, referrals
become customer's and in my mind I want to keep all of them forever."
I had the pleasure of meeting one of my favorite blogger's today, Ann Cummings and the Legendary Bear.
You have to understand.... how much I dislike the cold and she make that fluffy stuff look so inviting.
I can't say warm but I tell you her localism posts makes me think of hopping on the next plane.
I have really enjoyed and appreciated every interaction I have had with her and love her localism posts.
So How Did It Go?????
For starters I was nervous when I pulled in but I could not get in the door fast enough. I spotted them right away.
Yes I did recognize her! I was so excited. You would have thought we were family and the truth is we are she is part of my blogging family. Now she told me she is shy...nope did not see it! We laughed, we carried on and talked for a while.
If you felt your ears burning there might be a chance you came up in conversation. Yes Monika's name came up, Neal and Desiree's name and many many more.
We did not talk about our markets but shared some good old fashioned fun and I have to say we were giggling, heck I caught Bear giggling too.
What a nice man and definitely a sport!
Funny thing they are on vacation and live in New Hampshire and took me for a tour of Clermont, Florida. What a beautiful city and amazed at what I learn.
First of all the dirt in Clermont is clay...to me that is just beautiful.
I was actually at the highest point in Florida...it was amazing looking down at the city.
A street and shopping center was named after her grandfather, a founding father, Oakley Seaver referred to as Mr. Clermont. To me that is really amazing and I enjoy the history.
I learned a little about New Hampshire too, it seems if I were to ever move there I would want to have a colonial home and would probably enjoy going to the gravestones that are dated back to the 1700's. Yes these were the types of conversations we were having.
Heck she even punched me in the arm! I knew then...shy my foot or maybe she was just comfortable.
Once the tour was over, they took me back to my car and I knew I would have another BFF.
Thank you Ann and Bear for a memorable day! I had such a great time hanging out with you.
Just think it all started with her localism posts and then comments to emails and phone.
Social Networking to me is so incredible and if you feel compelled to meet face to face take the opportunity to do it..there is a good chance..you might be blogging friends forever!
If you are under 18...take my advice and seek your parents permission and approval.

Nice story about meeting an AR friend. What a treat for me last week to meet the blogging biggies at RE Tech South!
I am so happy that you were able to meet and spend some time with Ann. It is so amazing what strong bonds we form here in this awesome community.
Hi Midori,
Sounds like you had a great time, nice to have made so many friends here. Btw, Love your new photo! :)
So great that you got to meet in person.
Interestly, this is the same feeling agents are trying to create with blogging and clients. I hear stories all the time about how excited they are to finally meet an author that they have been following or found to be a good resource. Makes cold calling a thing of the past!
Hey Midori - ah, now I know what "BFF" means, and yep that would be us!! We had such a good time with you! It was so much fun to meet you, and Bear has talked about yesterday several times today. I don't even remember giving you a little love-pat on the shoulder - and Jay, 'black and blue'?? Love-pats my friends!
We'll get together again, as I'm down here several times a year. And yes, I am shy and I was just as nervous as you were. We both knew each other instantly, and hugged right away - how cool is that!!!!??
Lysa - I wish you had been able to come with Midori, but there will be a next time for sure!
Neal - I'll see you again as well, and maybe you could bring me some of your special home-made potato pancakes.... hmmm........
Midori - we really did so enjoy getting to meet you, and showing off a little bit of Clermont. It's very pretty here for sure!
Until the next time....................hugs to you!!
Ann
ps - LOVE that new picture!
Midori - you did a LOT of digging to come up with some of those links - thank you for those and for such a great time as well! Loved meeting you - it was like meeting up with an old friend. That's what AR does for us!
Ann
Hi Everyone-I had so much fun with Ann and Bear!
Ann, love pats...ahhhh...so sweet :) As far as the articles...I was really mesmerized by what your family has contributed to Clermont plus I find your grandfather and what you told me of your dad was fascinating! Next time I want to meet dad! Clermont is a beautiful city and I really treasured and will continue to treasure the fun we had.
p.s. Tell dad if ever he wants to sell his hoopdi...I know some young men who would love to buy that car! Have a safe trip back...luv you guys!

It's with great sadness that I came across this post much too late. It sounds like Bear was one heck of a guy!
I'm so happy that you had the opportunity meet him and Ann, and that you had such a wonderful experience. Thanks for giving us a glimpse into their life together. I'm sure that Ann will need the comfort in knowing that we are all with her in the days and weeks to come.
