My brother Albert is in Daytona and it seems we are having a Web 2.0 training, between the computer scientist and Albert, today I feel like the student.
Between the 3 of us there is a lot of tech talk in the air, truthfully I feel like I am surrounded by nerds. Big NERDS!
Albert shared with me one of his sources that saves him time and helps him to find all the social networks. It's useful if you are a serious Internet marketer.
While some may be aware of this already....I thought that I would share....
For the complete Web 2.0 Directory right at your fingertips. It's easy... click here.
A fun tool-Albert has a FREE Classified Ad site up, it seems that on his site you can find out if you are a nerd or not...
Al took it...He is High NERD< << High NERD<<
The Computer Scientist took it MASTER NERD<<<<MASTER NERD<<< his score 95.
Not sure if I can face the truth just yet but if you want to check out your score or see Albert's Nerd Score ....go to his blog and check out the side bar. click here
Al is staying the weekend, we took a break so I could post.
Let's see what other things he has up his sleeve! Things I can share...I told you...I am surrounded by nerds!

Ok tell Albert I went to his site, got the add widget and now it is on my profile. Cool. The web2.0 site will have me there for hours.
Ask him about web3.0 ? I read a post on bloodhound blog this week that said web2.0 was dead and web3.0 was what was happening. All about mashups, which I get but I wish everyone would slow down so I can catch up.
Now you go put it on your profile, Midori
Hi Jan-They fill my head up with great info. I am grateful...and it has helped me so much.
Hi Missy-Here is your answer..when I asked the nerds...the master nerd pointed me to the right direction....In May 2007, Eric Schmidt, CEO of Google, was asked to define Web 2.0 and Web 3.0....at Seoul Digital Forum He responded...
"Web 2.0 is a marketing term, and I think you've just invented Web 3.0. But if I were to guess what Web 3.0 is, I would tell you that it's a different way of building applications... My prediction would be that Web 3.0 will ultimately been seen as applications which are pieced together. There are a number of characteristics: the applications are relatively small, the data is in the cloud, the applications can run on any device, PC or mobile phone, the applications are very fast and they're very customizable. Futhermore, the applications are distributed virally: literally by social networks, by email. You won't go to the store and purchase them... That's a very different application model than we've ever seen in computing."
Susan-I read the post to the nerds and then the comments...you had us laughing so hard! Albert is a nerd at heart...he is self made...The computer scientist has a degree in computer science..so another nerd taught him or several!
Melissa-Girl,,,,you can rent the nerds! I loved your comment...I tell the young girls to marry nerds...they grow up! Your comment made me smile! :)
Heck I am so not nerdy! I'm not even hip! :(
Midori,
The word nerd makes ordinary people often shudder uncontrollably. It doesn't have to be that way, though. If you depend on the Internet a lot, embracing these creatures can become handy. Besides, they are just like everyone else in many aspects, except they know more about computers than you.
