I can remember my first encounter with Nancy Dance! She actually hired me word of mouth.
That's right, she did not know me from Adam.
I can remember sitting with her and Nancy-Ellen Otte in the conference room of the Ormond Beach office and feeling their positive energy.
Yes, I knew right off the bat, I wanted to be part of this great company!
You see when I relocated from Pompano Beach, Florida and moved to Daytona Beach I was in a very dark place. A place I wish no one to be.
Life events caused me to move...move for my own survival. In 2001 my sister passed away unexpectedly. It was traumatic, it was shocking but her death shattered my entire world and I knew this incident would cause me to never look at life the same.
I did not deal with things so well. I just didn't care. I no longer had the same beliefs or dreams...the reality....it really didn't matter! I lost faith, my confidence and most of all my self worth!

Now one thing about Nancy Dance, she does not lay all her cards on the table but I will tell you that she is fair and reasonable but most of all a business woman.
I thought negotiations were going to be tough but the reality is she knows what she wants, she does what's in the best interest of EVERYONE! Before I knew it I was a training machine.
Once I started working at Century 21 Sundance Realty things began to change for me. I was training, yes and training hard. I finally found my dream job and loved every moment of it.
I honestly have to tell you that it was not just the training that changed my life but the remarkable woman who really understands life, a woman who has really lived and loved.
A woman who continually reinvents herself to be on top of her game. Miss President Elect of our Daytona Beach Board of Realtors.
There are moments when I think of her, it can make me cry! Gratitude...Appreciation...Love..Genuine Love!
There are moments I think of her and I smile so big just knowing she is part of my life. So Nancy, this is what I really want to express:
Thank you!
I think you are a huge inspiration to many and I am honored and so blessed to have the opportunity to work for someone so incredible as yourself.
Yes, we give you grief and we don't all always agree but one thing is for certain.
You can count on me just like I can count on you!
Happy Birthday, Nancy Dance you deserve it and know you pulled me out of the dark and brought me into the light.
For who I am today, I have to give you a lot of the credit! Oh, jeez now I know there is no dealing with her! If you know her you will understand what I am talking about. It's OK....for today...I'll take it! Come Monday morning business as usual.

Happy Birthday Nancy...
Enjoy your day and your weekend!
Love and gratitude....
Midori
Happy Birthday Nancy.
Thank you for your support and sticking to it through thick and thin.
Once a year I get the chance
To wish you birthday cheer.
It pleases me no end to say,
I wish you another great year.
So happy birthday to you, Nancy,
From the bottom of my heart.
And may your good times multiply,
Till they're flying off the chart!
All my best,
Anna
Midori,
Thats really nice of you, to write this post, for Nancy, i'm sure she appreciates it more than you know :0)

Midori, I know exactly what you mean in this post. Nancy is an inspiration to me also. I would not be the person I am today if it wasn't for Nancy and Nancy Ellen and their patience with me. Happy Birthday Boss Lady!
Chris-Thanks...see you on your post!
Leah-Thanks....see you on your post!
Anna-Hope she gets teary eyed!
Tom-Funny thing I appreciate her more than she will ever know!
Sally-You are so sweet!
Diane-She did make the difference in my life. There is no doubt about it! Everyday I feel so lucky and really really grateful!
Lysa-That's because she knows how to whip good people into shape!
Monika-Her and the rest of her incredible family. You have no idea how much all of them mean to me!
Midori.....I am going to feature this in "Christianity and Real Estate" just because your boss sounds like a man or woman we ALL would want to work for....and some of us do...... if you know who i am talking about, hehehehehe !!
Good bosses are diamonds....... and they bring out the BEST in us!!
=-)
Diane-What's really funny, I have always my whole life preferred male company. You have to realize I had 4 brothers and I raised my three sons pretty much alone + 50 of their friends. It's weird things have changed for me so much and I have girlfriends and I love it! I like the fact you can tell another woman I love you or Thank You...or you can cry on each other's shoulder. Share girlie moments. I feel like I have been missing out! Thank you for the kind words...
Happy Birthday Nancy... If you mean this much to Midori then you have a special place in my heart also.
Midori... yet another post where you pull out a wide range of emotions.
Alex-Thank you and I know she will get a kick out of it! We kid her and tell her its always about her! The thing is she takes it well. Also, I have to tell you she is not just a boss but a friend, a mom, role model....kinda like real estate agents right?
Albert-One day I want you to meet everyone from my company. You will understand why I love what I do. I know this post was emotional I made Nancy cry...one of the girls in the office felt bad for her until she read the post and she too got teary eyed!
Nancy has helped me to move forward in many things, things that have bothered me for some time. I can remember her holding my hand and crying right beside with me....that was the first breakthrough with her. Believe me she has experienced my worst and my best. I just hope she forgets about the worst. I try too! One day you will meet her...
Midori.....
I believe if we are at our worst (or have been run to the end of our rope in life) and know we need a change in our lives for the better, God can AND WILL send someone to us who is just what we will need if we WANT to make the changes needed to get the better things into our lives......
Thank God and our Messiah for those people, Midori.... I believe you have found someone like that in Nancy!!
God is so good to us, even when we don't deserve it...... He is AWESOME!!
Midori,
Lovely post. I am sure Nancy respects and appreciates you, as well. Just from reading your post, I can see your gifts. Happy Birthday Nancy!
It's a Good Life!
