If you are like me you might have joined a few social networks you know with a blogging platform and no matter what you do..those darn notifications that someone left you a comment keep rolling in..you know cases and cases of spam comment notifications overload your email.  OR-

Maybe you joined many social networks you know trying them out possibly getting a FREE Trial and you really don't want to give out your email address but you need an email address to sign up..and the next thing you know..your email box is overloaded with tons of spam? Can you relate to what I am talking about?

If so and you need help, there is a cure!

How do I create an account at Mailinator? It's simple, you just send email to it. Temporary accounts are created when email arrives for them. First, you give out the mailinator email address you created, and then you check it. It's that simple.

Midori - This is terrific!....I do have a yahoo email address that I was using when signing up for free trials but this sound even better to use.  Thanks so much for sharing this!!

I was recieving about 30 comment notifications everyday from a platform and I changed the notification ..still at least 30 a day...contacted the site owner...still 30 a day...and then I found the mailinator..so I changed my email address to a mailinator address....I haven't gotten any notifications!  I am a happy girl!

I am not sure what program my office has but it is fantastic. I barely ever get any spam. This sounds like a good service though:)

Interesting. I wondered the other day if the post office did not thrive back in the day before computers...Did people pay postage for all this junk? Probably not. I will look into this. Thanks.

Sounds like a worthwhile way to avoid spam.  Seems like every time you sign up for something you get barraged with emails.

Malinator? Hmmm...Phineas and Ferb, anyone? I guess I watch too many cartoons with my children to not make the connection. But it sounds like the perfect answer to spam.
