Is Blogging A Fad? Not For Me

When I started on Activerain it was very different from today...we all were learning and growing together..Today it has grown so big..and am proud I stuck with it.  I might sound like a paid actor...I'm not...I really believe in the product....my last commission check and next will come straight from blogging!

If you are questioning if whether this blogging thing works..I'm hear to tell you..yes it does!  Is it a fad?  Nope I don't think so...this is a great article from 2005!

If you have been hesitant as far as blogging....jump in..have fun and remember you are blogging for business and making new friends!

Midori, thank you for your encouraging words. I have been blogging for about a year now. My last two transactions have come from internet leads. I am a true believer that blogging is good for business!

Hi Midori,

Like Cheryl, I have been at it for a year now.  I am starting to see some success now also.  It has been a lot of work but so much fun also. For the serious bloggers, I don't think it's a fad.

Midori,

I came to AR later, but I can attest to what you are saying about AR blogging. I know that blogging is not for everyone, there is  nothing that suits all sizes, but if you can blog, it is a powerful tool

There you are. I was afraid you had bailed on us. You took a little hiatus it seemed (Thanks! lol) But I'm glad you're still around. =)  And you're right. This absolutely works!

I have been at it a couple years now, with some modicum of succes, so I think I would call it more than a fad for me.

It is a habit now for me, my husband even knows when I want to get home to blog.  My phone ringing goal is making me impatient, and patience is something I need to have with this as I see it took a year for some of you, and I just buckled down on this a month or so ago diligently SEO and all.

Monika does most of the writing for us and I enjoy the technical aspects of how the blog functions. I enjoy building Wordpress blogs for agents.

We receive about 80% of our business now from our blog. Who would have thought how effective blogging would be back in November of '06 when we started. It is also greeat to have met a lot of bloggers here from AR over the yrs. too. Especially you.

Midori --- so far, it has not paid off for me as far as recruiting goes, but I am confident it will.  I plan to stick with it --- I realize that I am making friends and it will pay off ---

I'm about a week short of two years.  And I think that for many it is a fad... but not for the ones that are successful.

Midori - The returns on the investment are there.  Persistent, consistent, quality effort will bring the results. A fad? No.  A necessity? Yep!
